At the Industrie ParisI 2010, - The professionnal manufacturing technologies exhibition from 22nd to 26th March 2010, Voortman the specialist in machinery for the steel construction processing industry, will demonstrate the V630M, a CNC controlled drilling system with one vertical and two horizontal servo-controlled drilling units.
The V630M drilling system is a CNC controlled machine for the drilling of steel profiles, the main characteristics of this system is its very high production rates for processing various types of steel profiles, due to the combination of one vertical and two horizontal drilling units it can drill simultaneously in both the flanges and the web. This is achieved by incorporating the latest state-of-the-art technology including servo-motors and carbide drill tooling. Besides drilling, the system is also suitable for layout marking, thread tapping and centrepoint marking, with each drilling unit is equipped with an automatic tool changer.
This system can not only be used as a stand alone system, it can be combined with a horizontal band sawing machine from the VB-range and a hydraulic numbering machine. To increase the production capacity even more the sawing system and drilling system can be split into separate connected lines. After sawing, the profiles will be transported with cross transports into the drilling system automatically. For further automation of the pre-fabrication process a Voortman shot blaster can be added to the production line. Therefore one operator can centrally control all these machines for drilling, sawing and shot blasting.
