VB-series Band saws

Voortman has developed six models of band saws especially for high speed cutting of structural steel. Five sawing machines are designed for mitre and straight cutting, the sixth for straight cutting only. The band saws are fitted with a material sensor, powered rotary brush to remove chips and hydraulic material clamps on both sides of the saw band. The band speed is frequency controlled and the feed rate is automatically controlled to suit the material type and size. The sawing pressure and feed are hydraulic.

According to the requirements of steel fabricators, Voortman offers several positioning systems for the transportation and measuring of the material: a full stop length measuring system, a feeder truck with hydraulic gripper and a roller feed measuring system. Voortman band saws can be combined with a V630 and/or V613 drilling system.

Band saw VB600 The VB600 horizontal mitre cutting band saw has a blade size of 1-5/8” x 0.050”. Band saw VB1050 The VB1050 horizontal mitre cutting band saw has a blade size of 2” x 0.063”. Band saw VB1550 The VB1550 horizontal mitre cutting band saw has a blade size of 2-5/8” x 0.063”.

Band saw VB750 The VB750 horizontal mitre cutting band saw has a blade size of 1-5/8” x 0.050”. Band saw VB1250 The VB1250 horizontal mitre cutting band saw has a blade size of 2-5/8” x 0.063”. Band saw VB1050S This sawing machine is the only straight band saw in the Voortman delivery program of steel construction machinery
