A brief overview of the history of Voortman

Voortman brothers are starting a company in a farmers shed at 'de Middeldijk' in Rijssen.

The company moves from 'de Middeldijk' to an industrial estate 'de Mors'.

Voortman starts with the design and construction of steel structures.

Two separate companies are established: one for machine building, Voortman Automatisering and one for steel fabrication, Voortman Staalbouw. Both companies independently grow and because of this growth the additional properties and buildings are purchased.

New Extension of the workshop of Voortman Automatisering.

At the end of the Nineties Voortman Automatisering has expanded so much that the move to new, bigger premises has become necessary.

Voortman Automatisering moves to a new building at the Ozonstraat.

In July a new subsidiary was opened in the United Kingdom, Voortman UK.
