Introduction

Punching and shearing angle lines Voortman is the only machine manufacturer that offers angle processing machines with two different measuring systems at customers choice. For the towering industry the angle machines are equipped with a feeder truck While machines used for structural steel fabrication are mounted with measuring rolls. All machines are designed with the latest servo techniques.

M or T? For measuring the material, the machine can be equipped with feeder rolls (M) or with a feeder truck (T).

Extensive range

The towering market is a market well known for its broad structural requirements. Therefore Voortman has designed six different angle processing machines covering the complete industry. The wide product range in combination with the various material handling options ensures that Voortman is able to offer a tailor made configuration. Depending on the measuring system it is also possible to process flat bars.

Punching

Depending on fabrication needs different punching units are used. Double punching unit to punch both flanges

Varity of tool changing options

To ensure fast processing all Voortman angle lines can be equipped with a punch and die changing system. For this Voortman uses a bracket or a carousel system.

When using the bracket system the diameter can be exchanged by inserting a quick change bracket, accommodating both punch and die. Working with several brackets allows tool preparation in advance when the diameter needs to be adapted.

The carousel system can hold up till 6 punches and dies creating an automatic and very flexibly angle processing machine.

Software

The software program “VACAM-Machine Edition” is installed on the control system. The control system can be integrated in the company’s network, so DSTV- and DSTV+-data can be directly downloaded, from system files within the company database, to the system.

Cross transports

Cross transports The punching and shearing system from the V505-series can be provided with an infeed cross transport with separators. The angles and flats are put directly on the chain and the space available will be optimised.

Automatic outfeed system

Automatic outfeed system For automatic outfeed of angles, each model of the V505 range can be provided with an outfeed system. This outfeed system consists of an outfeed roller conveyor with cross supports. The products will be discharged to the left or to the right side of the conveyor automatically. For the outfeed of short product the first section of the roller transport will be lifted so that the products fall into a bin.

Software

In VACAM, production data can be in- and exported in the format of DStV(+).

Besides the comfort of a Windows based environment VACAM has the advantage that authorized persons at all times can retrieve real-time information about the production progress. This can be done through an on-screen in-motion presentation of the system.

For a more detailed report the Production Data Exporter module can be used. This module allows real-time fabrication information sharing. In any case all operations and motions performed on the system are stored for sharing with any ERP, MRP, MIS and BIM software systems.
