The worldwide sales of the Voortman equipment range are still increasing. To keep up with this growth Voortman has expanded again. After two smaller extensions of the production facility in 2005 to 3.000 m2 and in 2006 to 5.000 m2, this year the production floor area will double. With the main company building expanded by two extra production halls. The production of the band saws, which currently takes place at another location in Rijssen, moves here. After this relocation the complete production process of the Voortman systems will be realized again at one location. The new halls are built by sister company Voortman Staalbouw.
Also adjacent to the existing company building a complete new production facility has been built. In this hall the machine fabrication department is housed and the production of the new Voortman shot blasters takes place. With the increase in our production facility, also the offices are being expanded. Together with the new housing of the production halls, the offices will be considerably enlarged.
At the beginning of 2009 we will formally open the finished buildings with a week full of events and activities for our customers, prospective clients, partners and other interested people. The program of Voortman Events 2009 will contain many activities, including machine demonstrations and workshops.
