FABTECH shows upward trend in North American business activityChicago, the home town of Voortman Corporation hosted the 2011 FABTECH show last week. Historically, the Chicago event has always been the most popular venue and this year did not disappoint.

Most days of the show were all time record attendances, confirming that the North American market is seeing an upward trend in business activity overall, such as Voortman Corporation based recent order volume and orders placed during the show.

FABTECH covers more than 410,000 square feet of floor space at Chicago’s McCormick Place with over 1,300 exhibiting companies and over 30,000 visitors were in attendance.

The new Voortman V320C plate processing center was introduced and very well received by all potential users. We were able to show the technical advantages of the Voortman system, with demonstrations highlighting this new design that overcomes all issues found in pass through style machines by addressing mill edge condition and chip removal.

Adrian Morrall, President of Voortman Corporation said, “We are extremely pleased with the attendance at this year's show, but more importantly the quality leads that we have been able to generate. We at Voortman Corporation are in growth mode and the sales generated during the show endorse our belief and investment in North America.”
