DEMO - V630: Thread tapping

Padding

Watch the video or continue reading to see how the V630 automatically changes tools and performs thread tapping for accurate bolted connections.

In this video, you can see the Voortman V630 automatically changing tools and performing thread tapping on a steel profile. After drilling the hole, the machine switches to a tapping tool and creates the thread without any manual intervention.

Thread tapping allows bolts to be fastened directly into the material. This eliminates the need for welded nuts or additional machining operations. To further improve the quality of the connection, the V630 can also perform countersinking in the same process cycle. This removes sharp edges around the hole and creates a cleaner finish.

By combining drilling, thread tapping, and countersinking in a single automated workflow, the V630 reduces handling, minimizes manual work. It’s how the V630 helps produce accurate, repeatable bolted connections. The automatic tool changer ensures each operation is performed with the correct tool, allowing the machine to continue processing without interruption.
