The V631 can mill a wide range of inner contours in both the flange and web of a profile. In this video, you first see slotted holes, followed by oversized holes, square and rectangular holes, and contour milling with stitches.

For demanding milling operations, the V631 combines short carbide tooling with high-performance milling. A 1:1 depth-to-diameter ratio means the axial depth of cut can equal the diameter of the milling tool. This allows large amounts of material to be removed from thick steel in a single pass, helping reduce the number of passes required.

When these contours are included in a DSTV/NC file, VACAM automatically recognizes them and generates the required tool path. Additional milling operations can also be programmed directly at the machine using VACAD or user-friendly macros.
