DEMO - V633: Removing flanges by milling

Padding

Watch the video or continue reading to learn how the V633 removes part of a flange by milling.

The video shows how the V633 removes part of a flange by milling. Milling allows you to remove steel exactly where it is needed to create shapes and features that cannot be made by drilling alone. With a material removal rate of up to 210 cm³/min, the V633 can remove large amounts of steel quickly, making it well suited for demanding milling operations such as flange removal. In simple terms, a high material removal rate means the machine can mill away more steel in less time, helping reduce the time needed to complete these operations.

At the same time, you can see the V633’s sub-axes at work. Each drilling unit can move independently along the length of the profile within its available sub-axis stroke. This means the spindle can move to the position where material needs to be removed without having to reposition the entire profile for every step. Put simply, instead of moving the whole profile back and forth, the drilling unit itself can move to where it is needed. This reduces unnecessary profile movement and allows different features and positions to be processed more efficiently.
