VOORTMAN EXPERIENCE DAYS RECAP

On September 25 & 26, over 250 international professionals participated in the Voortman Experience Days. We proudly look at a successful event, centered around four key themes:

• Increasing machine productivity
• Optimizing the entire production flow
• Laser cutting for thick steel
• Welding and assembly automation

Day 1: Exploring the Voortman Campus

On Thursday, September 25, visitors explored the Voortman campus in small groups, each guided by a representative who spoke their language. The tour included stops at Manufacturing Centers 1 and 2, the Assembling Center, the Engineering Center, and the Experience Center. At each location, expert talks covered various topics.

Visitors saw machines like the V342, V623, and V310 in action. A special highlight was the visit to Severfield Steel Construction, where a fully automated Voortman production line was on display. After lunch at the company restaurant, the tour continued with a demo of thick steel laser cutting on the V353. In the Experience Center, welding and assembly automation took the spotlight, including demos of the Voortman Fabricator and XR-based quality control.

Throughout the day, refreshments were available, and the scent of freshly made stroopwafels filled the air. The evening ended with dinner and live demos, surrounded by food stalls and interactive machine presentations.

Day 2: Customer visits

On Friday, September 26, visitors had the chance to see Voortman solutions in real-world use. We departed from Voortman in Rijssen by touring cars and visited three customers in Barneveld:

• Van Ee Staalspecialisten: A trusted partner in steel construction, known for their craftsmanship in structural work, stairs, bridges, and custom steel solutions.
• EeStairs: An international leader in the production of feature stairs of outstanding quality and performance.
• Brink Staalbouw: One of the largest and most sustainable steel construction companies in the Netherlands.

These reference visits gave visitors the opportunity to speak directly with companies who use Voortman machines and software daily - offering valuable insights beyond our own story.

After the visits, we wrapped up the day with lunch at Van der Valk Hotel Amersfoort. From there, guests continued their journey home.
