Novopolotsk
Novopolotsk is a large metal structure company based in Belarus. They produce industrial metal structures mostly for the petrochemical industry, metal structures used in civil construction and for non-standard equipment like reservoirs and tanks. The company currently employs approximately 415 employees with a turnover of 15 million euro’s per year.
Rising labor costs and meeting European norms
Due to the rising labor costs and meeting European norms, Novopolotsk was looking for more automation in their factory. After visiting Voortman at the EuroBLECH exhibition, they invested in five Voortman machines. Three of them are integrated in an automated line for processing profiles. This line includes a V630 beam drilling machine, a VB1250 sawing machine and a robotic coping machine, all connected by cross transports and roller conveyors.
Maximum productivity & beyond expectations
Mr. Gennadivich: “The use of an integrated production systems allows us to get maximum production results relative to labor costs per ton of product. This system helps us improve production quality and has a serious influence on assembly at the end. Thanks to the automated production with Voortman equipment we can be more competitive at pricing in our market. Many companies who visit the Novopolotsk production facility are impressed and often mention: 'we didn't expect to see such a high level of production or so much automation'.”
We're almost the same
When choosing for Voortman, one of the main decisive factors was the fact that Voortman is almost the same type of company as Novopolosk. Mr Gennadivich: “When choosing our equipment supplier it made a difference that Voortman not only produces machines but also metal structures, nearly the same as us.”
Excellent Voortman service
Novopolotsk is very satisfied with the Voortman customer service. “The plant has never had to stop working for a full day due to software trouble. I must say that the service is great and the service department is run very well. We have never had any issues. We solve almost all issues by phone.”
The right choice
"Would I make the same choice for Voortman today?" I can say without a doubt that I would. I have never regretted partnering with them to make our project a reality. So in any future plant development, our machines will only be Voortman machines.”
