Last summer Voortman introduced the newest machine of her entire product range: The V704M layout marking system. A cost reducing and 100% automatic system that guarantees a quick and faultless method of marking the correct positions for parts to be assembled, including part numbers. The first machines are operational in our customers fabrication shops.
The systems are complemented with roller conveyors and cross transports to be part of the entire production line. The layout marking system is controlled by the well-known Multi System Integration software VACAM. This eliminates the need for an operator, reducing the labour costs to zero.
Lots of benefits
The V704M operates with nine axes, which allows the system to carry out layout marking on four sides. Voortman makes use of the proven milling tool from the V613 drilling system and the V630 drilling system and the reason for this choice is simple - milling is more efficient than laser or plasma.
But the system offers more advantages:
- Manual fitting and measuring are things of the past;
- Lower labour costs;
- 25% increase in output;
- Decreasing production times;
- Reduction of error costs by eliminating the human factor;
- No measurement deviations or errors due to inaccurate measuring tools;
- Milled marks are clearly visible after a shot blasting operation;
- Direct interface with CAD, MRP and ERP software;
- Printing of workshop drawings is reduced;
- Manual marking tools no longer needed.
