Cost reduction by investing in a second Voortman production line!

In the second half of 2008 Voortman installed a second production line at Metaalwerken Ivo Gijbels NV in Belgium. After investing in 2007 in a sawing & drilling system for profiles the companies’ management decided to improve the production of plates by purchasing a Voortman punching & shearing system.

Improved Punching and shearing system

Since its initial introduction the V505-2 has become one of the highest selling Voortman Punching and Shearing systems. Recently this very popular system has been redeveloped. The system has been improved in several aspects; therefore the V505-2 produces even more efficiently. The V505-2 angle line with an integrated feeder roll length measuring unit, processes angles ranging from 50x50x5mm upto 160x160x16mm. The V505-2 has 2 hydraulic punching machines type VPO 700/2 for both flanges and each punching machine is fitted with a double punch station.
