DEMO - V633: Layout marking with sub-axes
Watch the video or continue reading to learn how the V633 uses its sub-axes to perform layout marking quickly and efficiently on multiple sides of a profile.
Layout marking applies reference lines and other information directly onto a steel profile. These markings can help fabricators see where components need to be positioned during later fabrication and assembly steps. This reduces the need to repeatedly measure positions and manually transfer information from drawings onto the steel.
The V633 can perform layout marking on up to four sides of a profile. To make this process faster, the machine can be equipped with up to four servo-driven sub-axes. Each sub-axis allows a processing unit to independently move along the length of the profile within a 300 mm (11 13/16") range.
In practice, this means the entire steel profile does not always have to be repositioned when the machine needs to make a marking at a different location. Instead, the processing unit itself can move to the required position within its sub-axis range. This is especially useful when many markings need to be made close to each other or on different sides of the profile.
The sub-axes also allow multiple operations to take place simultaneously. While one processing unit is working at one position, other units can work at different positions within their available range. This reduces waiting time between operations and limits unnecessary profile movement.
The principle is simple: instead of repeatedly moving a long, heavy steel profile to bring each marking position to the processing unit, the processing units can move independently to the required positions.
By combining independent positioning with simultaneous processing, the V633 can complete layout marking up to three times faster. This makes it possible to add useful fabrication information directly to the profile without turning layout marking into a bottleneck in the production process.
