With LogicSteel XR, you switch from paper 2D drawings to precise 3D models that are projected directly onto your steel assemblies via Extended Reality (XR). Through the XR glasses, you can see at a glance whether components are positioned correctly. With paperless quality control, you simplify the process and prevent costly (interpretation) errors from leaving the factory.
This is how paperless quality control works
In the XR Backoffice, you manage all production data and select the assemblies you want to check. Here, you can view the 3D model with the corresponding (welding) drawings digitally. Then, quality control begins on the shop floor.
With the all-in-one XR headset, you can project the 3D model directly onto the physical assembly in the workshop. This allows you to see immediately whether everything is correct—without paper drawings or manual measurements.
With LogicSteel XR, you can perform hands-free quality checks up to 18 meters (60 ft) with an accuracy of 1.5 mm (1/16"). The tool supports both metric and imperial units. This prevents interpretation errors and increases the reliability of the inspection.
Did you detect any problems? Then simply take photos and videos from your headset, mark any deviations, and send all results to the XR Backoffice via the Cloud. From there, the necessary actions can be taken immediately.
The benefits of paperless quality control
Logicsteel XR is ideal for companies in steel construction, metalworking, and machine building that want to optimize their digital workflow. Paperless quality control prevents costly (interpretation) errors from leaving the factory and results in:
- No more 2D drawings
- Faster inspections
- Less rework
- Paperless workflows
- Seamless integration with Tekla
LogicSteel XR users save valuable time during inspections, even with inexperienced employees. You can inspect a complex assembly not in 30 minutes, but in just 5 minutes. For simpler assemblies, you save up to 10 minutes per inspection.
Completely paperless working in steel processing
With LogicSteel XR, you can take a big step towards working completely paperless in steel processing. By performing quality control with Extended Reality (XR), 2D drawings and manual measurements are no longer necessary. This makes your inspection process faster, more reliable, and more efficient. Experience quality control at a glance and choose the convenience of completely paperless working.
