DEMO - Fabricator: Part alignment

Padding

Watch the demo video or continue reading to learn how the Fabricator uses true hole positions to align parts.

The Voortman Fabricator automatically picks up and positions parts with high, consistent accuracy. This significantly reduces the need for manual inspection and ensures reliable, repeatable results every time.

Part positioning is based on model data and defined reference points. This allows the machine to account for different alignment requirements defined in the model. The Fabricator uses true hole positions as the basis for alignment instead of simply aligning outer contours. This way, parts fit perfectly when assembled on site.

Users can work with model-based or predefined alignment references, making sure parts are positioned exactly according to the shop drawings. This results in a more precise fit-up and eliminates common alignment errors.

This advanced approach to part alignment pushes automation further. Part alignment speeds up production, reduces setup time, and guarantees a high level of accuracy down to the smallest detail.

Part Alignment also extends the Fabricator’s hole-based alignment logic to angles. The ability to also position angles based on their hole pattern, and not the contours or outside diameter, means most common angle assemblies can be welded with the fabricator perfectly.
