With this upgrade, you no longer need to shotblast your material before it goes to the Fabricator when using metal core wire. You can shotblast the steel afterwards or leave it as is.

Yes. The Fabricator comes with both VACAM CNC control and LogicSteel CADCAM software. Our LogicSteel software converts CAD designs for the Voortman Fabricator into optimized cloud‑based CAM instructions.
The Fabricator handles profile lengths up to 24 m (80 ft) and heavy components with ease, thanks to its 200 kg (441 lb) payload and 2,666 mm (8'9") reach. This turns fitting and welding complex and demanding parts into simple routine work. Additionally, the machine delivers consistent, high quality robotic welds across all profiles (angles, box, I/H, T-sections and channels).
With the metal coated wire upgrade, this is no longer necessary. You can shotblast the steel after processing or leave it as is.
Getting started with the Fabricator is straightforward: you’ll be guided by our experienced steel construction consultants who provide training and hands-on support during startup until you can operate the machine confidently on your own. You simply choose the wire type, while all parameters are set and managed for you. No manual adjustments required.
