OVERVIEW
The Voortman V304 is a high capacity plate cutting machine built for demanding oxyfuel and plasma applications. It supports up to seven torches in total, which enables simultaneous oxyfuel cutting, efficient strip cutting, and fast processing of thick materials.
Designed for plate widths up to 4,000 mm, the V304 provides ample working space for large parts, wide format layouts, and optimized nesting strategies. NON-TCP BEVEL HEAD
The V304 with a non‑TCP bevel head delivers high rigidity, accuracy, and low maintenance. Its compact design minimizes vibration and removes the need for TCP calibration, resulting in faster setup and dependable operation. Paired with Xtensive Bevel Technology, it automatically adjusts bevel angles to ensure consistent, high‑quality cutting across all bevel types.
MAGNETIC TORCH MOUNTING
Both plasma and oxyfuel torches use the same magnetic mounting system with two precisely aligned, calibration‑free drives that accelerate production. After a collision, the operator can quickly reattach the torch and continue cutting. Switching between cutting technologies is simple by exchanging the torches.
PRECISE MECHANICAL COMPONENTS
A helical rack and pinion drive provides positioning accuracy below 0.1 mm, with load distributed across multiple teeth to reduce wear. Rigid, preloaded linear guides deliver stable, repeatable motion, preserving cut quality at high speeds and accelerations. Flexible protective covers keep dust out, maintaining accuracy and maximizing uptime.

REMNANT NESTING
Plate Verification with laser contour tracing and automatic rotation in the machine control software allows nesting into remnants using a single intact corner. This reduces material waste and shortens setup time.
RESUME FUNCTION
The resume feature restarts cuts cleanly, either directly on the contour or by piercing in scrap with a lead‑in. It automatically generates an arc lead‑in to avoid damage, ensuring smooth and reliable restarts that many competitors cannot match.
DROSS INHIBITOR
A dedicated oilspray nozzle prevents slag from sticking during piercing, eliminating the typical volcano‑shaped buildup. Slag bounces off instead, reducing post‑processing and keeping hole quality consistently high.
LOWERED X-RAIL
In nests with hundreds of parts, operators may cross the rails many times. The X‑rail is designed with a stair‑like step height to make loading and unloading easier and more ergonomic.
TRUEVOLT
TrueVolt adjusts torch height using real arc voltage, keeping cut quality stable and extending consumable life. Fixed‑voltage systems drift toward the plate as electrodes wear, but TrueVolt maintains consistent height for a predictable result.

High Cable Tray
The cable tray can be mounted high or low. A high cable tray is more expensive but offers the possibility to mount the cable tray on the side of the panel which creates a free loading passageway for the operator and less chance on oxy-fuel sparks damaging the hoses. The cable tray is always mounted left, when looking from the front of the bridge.
